John N. Hupalo

John N. Hupalo is a native New Yorker. He began his acquaintance with the pipe organ during his high school years through his piano teacher, who was also an organist. After high school John continued piano study at the Hartt College of Music.
In 1972 Mr. Hupalo began his apprenticeship in organ pipe making at Austin Organs, Inc. Eight years later, John opened his own organ pipe making business. In 1987 he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and began managing the pipe shop for Schoenstein & Co. In 1994 John reopened his own pipe shop business on a full time basis.
Mr. Hupalo is an active member of the San Francisco Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the American Institute of Organbuilders.
