Restorations, Repairs, and Rescaling
As a fully equipped pipe shop, we are prepared to repair damage to any metal flue or reed pipe. If the damage is irreparable a replacement may be made.
Often entire sets are brought to the shop for re-voicing. New languids and tuners may be added and toe holes adjusted. Pipes may be rescaled. In this case, it is necessary to create pipes at the treble or bass end and to adjust the pipes in between.
After years of tuning, it is common for the metal on scroll-tuned reeds to fatigue and break. It is our practice to provide new metal inserts for the old scroll.
